Designing For Optimism
The intersection of nature, technology, and humanity — built by hand in Cleveland, Ohio.

Growing up around NASA scientists and automotive engineers, Quin Philipp developed a fascination with complex problem-solving from an early age. Yet, instead of chemistry or mechanics, he was drawn to the intangible world of design — where ideas become objects and emotion meets function.
After years apprenticing in furniture and cabinet making, Quin opened his own workshop in Cleveland, Ohio, where he began shaping a personal design philosophy. To him, furniture design is ultimately the art of solving for comfort.
Furniture is for your home, and for your mind.
“To be an adequate designer, we have to create pieces that are ergonomic, sustainable, and practical — but also emotionally resonant. A home should feel as mentally safe as it is physically comfortable, and great design brings both into harmony.”
Studio Odysii operates as a one-person workshop — each piece designed, shaped, and finished by hand. Every curve is an exploration of how technology, nature, and humanity can coexist in the modern world.
Quin’s work draws from mid-2000s Y2K and Frutiger Aero aesthetics — blending organic forms, respectful technology, and natural materials into a vision he describes as eco-futurism with optimism.
